Girls Division
4 year old gymnastics -
6:1 student/teacher ratio. The 4 year old classes are building on and perfecting their skills. Strength and flexibility are introduced. Their progress is documented by the use of skill cards. In the 4 year old class, they have some degree of familiarity with gymnastics terminology. Along with hand and head placement for forwards, backwards and sideways tumbling, they will be introduced and learn instruction on the vault, floor exercise, bars and balance beam.
Division 1 (8:1 student/teacher ratio. Beginner level gymnastics instruction. The focus is on instruction acquisition and mastery of gymnastics skills on all the Olympic events. Among the skills being taught are jump to front support/3 small casts, pullover with spot, squat on vault from springboard, straight and stretch jump dismounts, and cartwheel with straight arm and legs
Division 2 (8:1 student/teacher ratio. This class is for students with previous gymnastic instruction. Students who have experience in other sports and are familiar with gymnastics terminology and the equipment may be a candidate for this class. Instruction is given on vault, balance beam, floor exercise, and bars. There is an increased emphasis on form and combination of skills.
Division 3 (8:1 student/teacher ratio.
This class is for students with previous gymnastics experience. A progression of combination skills will be taught on all Olympic Equipment. Focus will be on skill perfection, including form and execution. Drills for advanced level skills are the focus.
Division 4 (8:1 student/teacher ratio)
This class is for intermediate level students. Focus continues on skill acquisition and form. They will be working strength and conditioning on all of the events. Proficiency on all of the events will become an emphasis.
